Summer Bunnies : Recommended Reading

Posted by jefferson on Jun 9, 2012 in Site News | 7 comments

Happy weekend, everyone!  With summer kicking into gear, our days and evenings are already being filled with summer camps, swim meets, fishing trips, baseball practice, and backyard frisbee tourneys.  It sounds like a ton, but I couldn’t be happier.  I love this weather and love being outside.

Our family walks around the neighborhood have been so awesome lately.  Baby SDR is now eleven months old (she is growing so fast!) and riding in her stroller is her very favorite thing in the world.  When we walk around the neighborhood, we always pass a ton of dogs, birds, bunnies, and trees.  She points and squeals excitedly and can say all of those words already except for “bunny.”   We’ve been doing well with our goal to go for at least one 1-mile walk per day as a family.  I cherish the talks I get with my boys at this time and seeing the world through my daughter’s eyes.

With that, I leave you with a list of some of our favorite articles from around the web.  I promise you, they are all worth your time.

Haha love the pic! That’s too cute that she’s enjoying the walks so much. Our family loves our walks, too. We’re lucky enough to live close to several parks that are along the way, so it’s always an adventure. :)

Thanks for the mention Jeff. That’s awesome that you’ve been going on family walks like that. What a great, inexpensive way to spend quality time with them. I really need to get back into going for walks. I got a bit lazy once I got busy with my new job.
